Pictures




We went to see The Colosseum, Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum...in other words, Ancient
Rome. Did not go into the Colosseum because of the line. We are going inside tomorrow to skip the weekend crowd. Here are some pics of all three days. It does not matter where you look in Rome...the views are amazing! The big white monument is Victor Emmanuel Monument to honor Italy's first king and to celebrate the reunification of Rome in 1870. The locals call it "the wedding cake" because it is the only buliding in the city built with white marble. It is the center of Rome and we are going to take the elevator to the top to see a 360 degree view of Rome tomorrow.
